The Chicago Cubs are a professional baseball team based in the North Side of Chicago, Illinois. The Cubs are members and currently champions of the Central Division of Major League Baseball’s National League. The team plays their home games at the historic Wrigley Field, located in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood. The Cubs are one of two Major League clubs in Chicago, the other being the Chicago White Sox of the American League, who play on the city’s south side.

General Info

The Cubs are affectionately referred to by the media and fans as "The Cubbies," and also "The Northsiders," in contrast to the White Sox, who play on the city's South Side. The Cubs are one of the only two remaining charter members left in the National League, (Atlanta Braves) and the only team in its original city.
