Kingston Mines

Kingston Mines plays blues from dusk to dawn in a kick-back, take it easy atmosphere where owner Doc Pellegrino is constantly urging patrons to "hear the blues, drink booze and talk loud." And at the Mines you can do all those things until the sun comes up because this is the only blues joint in town with a 4:00 am license (5:00 am on Saturdays).

This friendly juke joint is one of the best-known blues bars on the South Side of Chicago.

M Lounge

Sit back and relax at this South Loop boutique martini lounge. Weekly live music includes "Hot Latin Nights" every Tuesday and live jazz every Wednesday.

Museum of Contemporary Art - Tuesday's On The Terrance

Join us for free live jazz concerts every Tuesday, June 4 – September 24, 2013, from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm. A dinner buffet prepared by Wolfgang Puck Catering is available each week for $25.00 per person, and features a changing menu of international barbeque and side dishes created using fresh, locally-grown produce from the MCA Farmer’s Market. Philander's Oak Park

Most jazz fans would agree that one of the best ways to listen to jazz is live - to be right in front of the musicians as they interact with each other, to experience all the energy first hand. The Morse Theatre

Originally a 1912 silent screen Nickelodeon,  open in the Fall of 2008 as a state-of-the-art, 299-seat live performance venue booking nationally recognized jazz, folk, blues, classical, Irish, singer-songwriters and traditional country artists, along with top local talent. Live theatre, vintage/independent cinema, children’s and cultural programming is also featured.

The University of Chicago Presents

This is one of Chicago's oldest and most distinguished concert series, the University of Chicago Presents' Classic Concert Series (formerly the Chamber Music Series) was founded in 1943 with the goal of bringing to Chicago World-Renowned Artists for concerts and educational programs that would attract audiences from all parts of Chicago and its surrounding suburbs.


Underground Wonder Bar

If you want to have a good time, feel like you're part of the band and stay our longer than you intended to then check out this bar. The show is hosted by the owner of the bar, Lonie Walker who is a blast to watch on stage.

Velvet Lounge

Velvet Lounge is the only place in the world where you can hear the Chicago sound five days a week. The Sunday night jam sessions have been an effective way to promote younger members of the jazz community. Fred Anderson opened the Velvet Lounge in 1982 after his club The Birdhouse, on the near North side, closed due to city zoning ordinances.
