bopNgrill

Inventive burgers and Korean-Japanese fare like teriyaki dishes and bi bim bop-style entrees, served with rice and a fried egg on top. The eatery also offers Korean-style short ribs; if you'd like a slightly more Americanized entree, opt for one of the half-dozen types of angus burgers (you can also choose your bun--pretzel or brioche). Some burgers feature a distinctly Korean flair, such as the kimchee burger topped with Korean chili paste aioli; another burger includes smoked gouda and a braised mushroom confit.

Avec

The menu focuses on small and large sharing plates of rustic, Mediterranean "peasant foods," with many dishes cooked in a wood-burning oven and served in cast-iron pots. There are some real winners here: luscious house-marinated olives, chorizo-stuffed dates, thin-and-crispy focaccia with taleggio cheese and truffle oil. The real showstopper is simple roasted chicken thigh panzanella salad, a textural delight of crispy skin, tender meat, chewy panzanella and supple artichoke hearts, all zesty with preserved lemon.

Big & Littles

BIG & little's has a lot working against it. It's a tiny restaurant with just 12 stools (and outdoor picnic tables when weather permits), the menu is limited, and it's in a location allergic to foot traffic. How does a place like that make it? Well, let's just say D'Alessandro was speaking the truth when he proudly declared after Gordon Ramsey booted him, "I still think I have the palate of a god."

The hand-formed patties are made from ground chuck. Toppings are traditional, with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, ketchup, and mustard coming with, and American cheese and fried eggs available as add-ons.

Big Guy's Sausage Stand

This small, no-seating hot dog stand is the brainchild of Brendan O'Connor, who opened his first dog spot when he was 14 years old. The menu includes an assortment of sausages, including chorizo, buffalo chicken, Italian, crawfish and cheddar brats, as well as sides like fresh-cut fries and bacon-beer-cheese soup.

Edzo's Burger Shop

We use only American beef– USDA choice chuck. Never frozen. We cut and grind the beef for our burgers every morning, right here in the restaurant. We handle it gently and don’t over-work it. Nothing’s added to it until we shake some salt and pepper onto the meat as it cooks. That’s it.

We’re also pleased to offer locally-raised and/or grassfed beef as an upgrade option. All of the local farms we purchase from adhere to humane, sustainable, and natural practices, so do not contain any growth hormones or antibiotics.

Ferrara Pan Candy Company
