The folks behind Lincoln Park's famed Bricks Pizza bring you a new upscale casual restaurant in North Center. It honors the city's culinary heritage - beer, pizza, smoked pork - while pushing the Chicago culinary experience forward.
The original Gino's East was opened in 1966 by two taxi drivers, Sam Levine and Fred Bartoli, and a friend, George Loverde. The deep dish pizza is cooked with the cheese on the bottom, then the toppings and then the sauce.
Giordano's is a pizzeria that specializes in Chicago-style pizza. The company started in 1974 after the owners, brothers Efren and Joseph Boglio, Italian immigrants, were discouraged at the lack of authentic pizza available in the Chicago area. The company's slogan is "Chicago's World Famous Stuffed Pizza." Giordano's is one of the creators of the stuffed pizza.
Roots Homemade Pizza was born in the Quad Cities, raised in Chicago. It’s what happened when a bit of hometown nostalgia met our obsession with inventive, made-from-scratch food.

A Midwest-only beer list and late-night hours for the night owls. So come on in. Bring the kids. It’s a new Chicago tradition, and it’s damn good.
Spacca Napoli has been lauded for its authenticity (see “press“). “La tua pizza me ha fato piangere” (your pizza has made me cry) can be said to sum up some of the sentiment that has been heard and written. It is the intention that everything at Spacca Napoli be faithful to tradition, from the high quality of the food to the way it is served. The oven was built by third- and fourth-generation artisans from Napoli. The dough mixer also comes from Italy.
But just as important, for all who work or eat at Spacca Napoli, there is a delicious, comforting feeling of warmth and family that is part of the atmosphere and charm. The decor is reminiscent of classic Italian pizzerias, yet is contemporary and filled with light. Spacca Napoli strives to be a neighborhood place but it is also a destination for anyone who wants to taste genuine Neapolitan style pizza.
