General Info

Enjoy two very special holiday treats, Christmas Around The World and Holidays of Light, presented by the staff and friends of the museum.   Christmas Around The World features 50 HUGE Christmas trees decorated according to holiday customs from around the world.  With gently falling snow (yes an indoor snowfall), sip a cup of hot chocolate and stroll through a breathtaking display of trees from such exotic places as India and such remote places as Iceland.  New additions this year are trees from Italy and Thailand.  Don't miss the tree decorated in the Bahamian tradition.
This year, the Holidays of Light exhibit showcases the traditional customs of the Chinese New Year, Diwali  -  a Hindu and Sikh festival,  Kwanzaa - an African American tradition, Ramadan - a Muslim celebration, Hanukkah - a Jewish celebration, Visakha Puja Day - a Buddhist celebration and St. Lucia Day - a Swedish celebration.  Don't miss the opportunity to learn about other cultures and their customs at this wonderful holiday display.
