O'Hare Ground Transportation

Taxicabs and Limousines
Taxicabs are available on a first come, first serve basis from the lower level curbfront of all terminals. Shared ride service is available. There are no flat rates because all taxicabs run on meters. Expect to spend approximately $35.00 to $40.00 for a taxicab ride to Downtown Chicago.

Regional Buses at O'Hare
The Bus/Shuttle Center is located on the ground level (Level 1 near elevator center 3) of O'Hare International Airport's elevated parking garage. This center is the central pick-up facility for regional and hotel courtesy buses, airport rental car agencies and parking shuttles. It is easily accessible by pedestrian tunnels from Terminals 1, 2, and 3. Some regional buses also pick-up at Terminal 5.

Chicago Transit Authority (CTA)
Is an economical mode of transportation between O'Hare International and Midway Airport but is also the more time consuming at close to two hours. The CTA Blue Line serves O'Hare (located at the lowest level of the Main Parking Garage, next to elevator center 4, and is accessible by pedestrian tunnels located in Terminals 1, 2, and 3, and the Orange Line serves Midway. Clark and Lake is the free downtown transfer stop between the two lines.
