The Chicago Park District manages the 570 parks covering more than 7,000 acres of land thoughout the city. This netowork of parks also includes nine lakefront harbors over 24 miles of lakefront, along with 31 beaches, 17 historic lagoons, 86 pools, 90 playground, nine ice skating rinks, 10 museums and two conservatories.

The Chicago Park District also maintains many special facilites for activities such as golfing, boating, boxing, skating and baseball, as well as a number of specialty parks devoted entirely to dogs.

Anderson Japanese Gardens

Rockford's 12-acre, "pond-strolling" Japanese garden is acclaimed as one of the top two authentic formal Japanese gardens outside of Japan. Winding paths, serene waterfalls, Sukiya-style buildings, and a gift shop selling authentic Japanese crafts make the gardens a must-see.


Bike Chicago Rentals and Tours

Bike and Roll Rentals and Tours offers the largest rental fleet in town. More than 500 bikes to choose from at three locations - Millennium Park, Navy Pier, North Avenue Beach.
