General Info

Its captivating and charming interior was imported from Ireland by owners who took the interior of a Belfast bar and literally moved it to the “Oaks.” Everything inside the pub was shipped over here from the Emerald Isle, from its stone tiles and bricks, to its walls and beams and even the old copper whiskey stills.

“Everything happens in the pub back in Ireland,” says manager Sarah Clark. “If a baby is born, you go to the pub to celebrate. After church, as well as weddings, funerals and christenings, you go to the pub. This is where family and friends would be to catch up on current events. The atmosphere is designed to remind you of the spirit of the Irish community.”

And Irish Oaks brings that spirit to Chicago, offering the warmth of friendship and the joy of community. The place is alive with Celtic music on weekends, played in a cozy corner. The stained glass windows in the Still Room are perfect to sit next to with your favorite drink. Pick up any book on any shelf and enjoy a good read. But - stay awhile- and let the easy Irish charm of the place relax you.
