Ada Street

Ada Street is the newest bar & restaurant from DMK Restaurants (DMK Burger Bar, Fish Bar) founders David Morton and Michael Kornick. Located in the Elston Industrial District--not quite Bucktown, not quite Lincoln Park--Ada Street offers dinner and late night service six days a week (closed Sunday). The restaurant, which was named one of Chicago Magazine's Best New Restaurants of 2012, features eclectic small plates from Chef Zoë Schor and a comprehensive list of interesting wines, craft spirits and house cocktails. Inquire about Ada Street's private dining room, which can host parties up to 15, or rent the entire space for parties up to 100.

That only leaves one explanation: Parson’s Chicken & Fish, the long-awaited new enterprise from the Longman & Eagle crew, is finally soft-open in Logan Square. Imagine if Harold’s Chicken Shack and Big Star had a love child. That’s basically this. You’ve got a lot of fried food. You’ve got an amazing sun-dappled patio. Tavernita, located in the popular River North neighborhood at the corner of Erie and LaSalle Streets, offers a mix of American dishes, using influences from France, Italy and Spain, and an innovative beverage program showcasing creative selections from around the world. We describe this eatery as a classic diner with an gastronomic touch. You won't find a jukebox inside, but you will be able to order from a full bar and snack on hefty sandwiches (including a reinvented bologna sandwich made with fried mortadella on white bread) and $6 burgers along with classic dishes such as Dover sole prepared with brown butter, capers and parsley. The kitchen is closed from 3:00pm - 5:00 pm daily, so get there early for lunch or weekend brunch.


505 Zest
