Aragon Ballroom
The famous and historic Aragon Ballroom is a Chicago institution. It was designed to replicate a Spanish palace courtyard, complete with crystal chandeliers, mosaic tiles, terra-cotta ceilings, balconies and beautiful arches.

Beat Kitchen
The Kitchen has been entertaining those in the know with a variety of live music, food, and beer since 1994. Today, some herald the it as one of the best live music venues in the city, rivaling the more popular Empty Bottle, nearby Elbo Room, and the Double Door.

Tucked away on a quiet block in Chicago's meat-packing district, this Rock Bar is a far cry from its subtle surroundings. The music room, for one, brings in some serious noise with its full (and constant) line-up of indie bands. The space is so focused on its bands that even music jargon plays into the restaurant's menu. Instead of appetizers, be prepared to order from a list of "sound check" items including roadie's nachos, completely vegetarian unless you choose to add beef or chicken for an extra $3.
Carol's Pub
The Pub has been in the neighborhood for over 30 years. It has served as a gathering place for displaced Southerners and those who love country music. Every Thursday night is karaoke night. Join in on the fun starting at 9:00 pm.
Delilah's
Besides having one of the city's best jukeboxes (Hank Williams, Sex Pistols, James Brown and local indie rock), Delilah's features DJs from Chicago's music subcultures spinning selections from their personal collections, five days a week. Local musicians spin on a semi-regular basis. Count on hearing punk rock, country, metal and Brit pop on various nights.
Double Door
Over the past nine years Double Door has been host to many diverse and incredible musical acts including local favorites The (Smashing Pumpkins), as well as hundreds of young emerging artists working their way through the live music scene.
Elbo Room
Elbo Room offers one of the city's better venues to see live music and consistently books bands that don't disappoint. The interior isn't much. The upstairs is a typical neighborhood bar, but downstairs, which feels like someone's basement party, is where the magic happens.

Finn McCool's serves up Irish eats in such abundance that it has become the pub's hallmark. First Midwest Bank Ampitheatre
Gigantic amphitheater for outdoor concerts and events in Tinley Park, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. Venue features both pavilion seating as well as lawn seating. Large parking areas surrounding the entire theater including handicap spots. Tickets for events at the Theatre are available through ticket-master, and the box office.
Goodbar
Goodbar is a revamped nightclub that is popular with an upscale clientèle. The decor is funky and includes impressionistic-style murals on the walls, velvet couches scattered throughout and a new and remodeled outdoor aqua lounge. DJs spin local favorites and other music Wednesday through Saturday.
House of Blues Chicago
Known around the globe as "the place for blues" in a town that made blues famous, this well-known venue showcases all kinds of musicians: rising stars, superstars and legends. Located on the banks of the Chicago River, the House of Blues rocks out all night long putting on some of the most memorable and enduring shows in Chicagoland. Park West
One of Chicago's best equipped multimedia facilities, this historic theatre has been an integral part of the entertainment scene since it opened in the 1920's. Years later the building became the Town Theater, a neighborhood movie house, until 1977 when it was transformed into into Park West.

Schubas Tavern
This tavern is housed in one of the former Schlitz bars, but the Schlitz is gone. Instead, you will find a good collection of beer and a wonderfully eclectic variety of live music on a stage in an adjoining room. You can drink at the bar for no extra charge, but to hear the music, you have to pay a cover fee.

The Empty Bottle
This is arguably one of the best medium-sized performance spaces in the city. The decor is collegiate and the drink prices are fair, with the low end near $2.00. There are pool tables and pinball machines in the front room, alongside thrift store couches. The main area is large with a dance floor. Here live music every night and any of the local celebrity bands can be seen, alongside international acts on their way through town.
The Kinetic Playground
The Kinetic Playground is a hot 500 person capacity entertainment venue, located in the heart of Chicago's historic Uptown neighborhood.
