General Info

This huge open space that was once a garage is an eatery for artists, businesspeople and blue-collar workers alike. Start your day with the restaurant’s popular Andouille Hash. For $8.25 you get a breakfast that comes with sautéed Andouille chicken sausage, potatoes, spicy peppers and onions along with two eggs and a fresh corn muffin or biscuit. Be daring in the morning hours and go for North Carolina Crab Cakes for $11.95. They’re made with spicy blue claw crabmeat, eggs, fries or grits, and a delightful hollandaise sauce. And if you make it for weekend brunch, order up unbelievable Wishbone Pancakes. For $6.95, try them with mangoes, peaches, blueberries or bananas.

Chef Nickson says his goal is to create fresh Southern style meals at great prices. And that’s exactly what he does in this roomy locale. “I am happiest in the kitchen,” Joel says. “The good part about running a business is that I can still talk to customers, many of whom are people who keep coming back. And I love working with our bar-b-cue smoker and have fun creating new items.”

The Best Place to Go For: Anything bar-b-cued a great tasting Southern style breakfast
