Maxwell Street Market

The Maxwell Street Market is a unique and dynamic Chicago tradition. Chicago's oldest outdoor market, Maxwell Street is located just west of Downtown and is a year-round, free Sunday event. It is open every Sunday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, and is a great family event - for parents and children alike.

McCormick Place

Chicago's McCormick Place, is the premier convention facility in North America. Located just minutes from Downtown, McCormick Place is owned and operated by the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA) and attracts close to 3 million visitors each year. McCormick Place is comprised of four state-of-the-art buildings: the North and South Buildings, the West Building and Lakeside Center. Together, they form what many consider to be the economic engine that powers the entire convention and tradeshow industry.

Merchandise Mart

The largest commercial office building in the World, with over 4.1 million square feet of permanent and temporary showrooms. The location features a bank, U.S. Post Office, transportation hub stop for the "El" train, a currency exchange, food court and many retail shops to choose from. The privately owned exhibit center, The Merchandise Mart, is the home of the world's largest contract furnishing show - Neocon - held every year in June and, the country's largest casual furniture market in September, plus two gift and home markets and ten different apparel shows a year.

Museum of Science and Industry

Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry, one of the largest science museums in the world, home to more than 35,000 artifacts and nearly 14 acres of hands-on-exhibits, is also the home of the "Little Theater" were theatrical performances are held.
Permanent exhibits include Yesterday's Main Street, Science Storms, and YOU! The Experience - an interactive exhibit exploring mind, body, and spirit. A virtural simulation tour of the 1893 World's columbian at the Palace of Fine Arts is offered on selected dates.


Navy Pier

Over 90 years old, this longtime landmark is a favorite spot any time of the year and is considered the greatest outdoor walkway with indoor excitement anywhere on the Great Lakes. This world famous pier is right out of a storybook, complete with a Ferris wheel, breathtaking views of the lake, boat cruises, international crowds and a gigantic venue of things to see and do.

The Arboretum and Gardens contain an Oak Savanna, Woodland, and Wetland Exhibit, and are open to the public year-round during the daylight hours. There are interpretive guided tours and a small pavilion available for rental use.

Tempel Lipizzans

The Field Museum - Chicago

The Ledge

This is the newest addition to Chicago, part of the Willis (Sears) Tower, dares visitors to be among the first to step onto The Ledge, a series of glass bays that extend from the building's 103rd floor. Reaching out more than 4 feet from Sky-deck Chicago's west side, visitors have unobstructed views of Chicago —1,353 feet straight down.

The Volo Auto Museum has over 300 classic cars on display and is home to the world’s largest Muscle Car Collection and the George Barris TV & Movie Car Collection.

Water Tower Place is situated in the heart of the Magnificent Mile on the Northern part of Michigan Avenue. The high-end shopping mall is part of a 74-story complex that boasts the luxurious Ritz-Carlton Hotel, restaurants, a theatre, business offices and condominiums.


Willis (Sears) Tower Skydeck

It is fitting that Chicago would be home to some of the tallest buildings in the world. As a center of trade and commerce, Chicago saw its skyline develop rapidly. Today, the Sears Tower dominates in pure height. And a trip here to check out the view from the top is breathtaking to say the least.
