Thalia Spice

Thalia Spice, inspired by land and sea, is an eclectic collection of various pan Asian cuisines served in tapas size portion for your tasting enjoyment in a collection of intimate, modern loft dining rooms. Thalia offers traditional Thai dishes, Japanese Sushi, and a host of exotic creations from all over SouthEast Asia. The house specialties are where the menu truly comes to life. Not be be missed: Kama Sutra, Yaya Noodles, Sake Baby Ribs, and Mango Seared Scallops to name a few.


The Snail: Thai Cuisine

The restaurant takes its name from a Thai fable called the "Golden Snail," about a prince who was born as a snail. Thais don't like snails and so the little prince and his mother, the queen, were exiled from their kingdom. They lived as outcasts until the day the queen realized that a perfectly formed little boy was hidden inside of the ugly shell. She carefully broke the shell away to reveal her beautiful child. From then on the two struggled together in search of a bright, new, healthy life. They wandered and met with many challenges, until eventually the boy became a great and benevolent king.

Three Happiness Restaurant has become a Chinatown favorite not only for dining, but also for ordering just about the best Chinese carryout you can get.

Urban Belly

Chef William Kim heads up this Logan Square restaurant which, surprisingly, is housed in a forgettable strip mall between a cleaners and a laundromat on an otherwise barren strip of California Avenue.


Vong's Thai Kitchen

The Vong in Vong's Thai Kitchen is none other than Jean-Georges Vongerichten, who was awarded three James Beard Restaurant Award Medals in 1998, including Outstanding Chef. Jean-Georges is of Alsatian origin and was apprentice under master chefs in Paris. He arrived in New York in 1985 and has dazzled American diners ever since.
