Chicago Diner

This diner offers all-American style menu items that are strictly vegetarian, and most are suitable for vegans as well. There are also raw food choices, organic beer and wine, and vegan wines.

Chilapan Mexican Restaurant

Specializing in authentic refined-rustic Mexican Cuisine.

Davanti Enoteca

When restaurateur Scott Harris decided to open his latest restaurant concept, he and the team of chefs from Francesca’s Restaurants did their research. Although already experts in their own right for rustic, Italian cuisine in Chicago, the chefs traveled across the country, eating and tasting to discover how chefs nationwide defined this cuisine. Inspired by their travels, the team is proud to introduce the new wine bar and restaurant: Davanti Enoteca in Little Italy.

Frontera Grill

The Frontera Grill offers the best in Mexican cuisine with a host of hot and spicy dishes prepared with fresh organic vegetables. Frontera Grill was the winner of the 2013 "Outstanding Restaurant" award at the James Beard Foundation Awards.  Many people consider this the best Mexican restaurant in the United States, and once you eat from the menu, you may feel similar.

Grahamwich

Celebrity Chef Graham Elliot has left his unmistakable mark all over this narrow, tightly run ship in the former Tree Studios, from the jaunty tweed tam-o-shanters the young sandwich jockeys wear in place of hairnets to the perfectly useless but oh so ironically nostalgic sporks handed out with the menu's token mesclun shrubbery. The main offerings are quintessentially Elliotesque tweaks on sandwich archetypes—the banh mi, the Reuben, the grilled cheese.

Grass Fed

The menu at this modern-take on a steakhouse revolves around the $25.00 steak dinner, which includes a salad, house-baked bread, fries and sliced steak topped with an herb-based "secret" sauce. It serves only grass-fed sirloin sourced from Paso Prime in Paso Robles, Calif. and Wisconsin-based Strauss, butchered and wet-aged right on-site

Green Zebra

One of the top 10 heart-healthy restaurants in the U.S. offering healthy meal options that will help you to both eat well and live well.
This (mostly) vegetarian restaurant is under the deft hand of chef and co-owner Shawn McClain, who also operates Spring. Years after its opening, foodies including the carnivorous sort continue to storm this place for dishes like creamy burrata with Concord grape gastrique, favas and an elderflower cracker.

Hamburger Mary's

The original Hamburger Mary’s was the brainchild of a small group of hippies living in San Francisco in the early 70′s. “We were extremely poor,” says Bob Charles, the last surviving founder of Mary’s. “We were living on food stamps, SSI, and peace and love. But we had some drug-induced fantasies of owning our own ‘anti-establishment’ bar/restaurant, run on our own relaxed and laid back agenda.”

With just $500 (a fortune for them at the time), they set out to open a gay-owned, people-friendly gathering spot where everyone was welcome. Without much cash, they began their operation on a shoestring budget. Shopping at flea markets and in second-hand stores, they outfitted the original Hamburger Mary’s with mismatched wooden chairs and odd shaped tables. The dishes and flatware patterns were unrelated and often regular items, which added to the charm. Keeping to their hippy tendencies, the original location was named “Hamburger Mary’s Organic Grille.”
